Live Bar Grotto
A moment to unwind in the city.
Located in Tokyo's Yotsuya neighborhood, Live Bar Grotto pairs live music and stage performances with a solid selection of whiskies, beers, and cocktails in an easygoing setting.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tucked into a basement near Yotsuya Station, Live Bar Grotto invites patrons to settle in with a drink while music drifts from the stage. Backed by friendly hospitality from the owner and staff, guests can listen to live sets or chat about music at their own pace.
Take a seat at the counter or one of the tables, and the drinks list offers plenty to consider. Whiskies span accessible bourbons like Jim Beam, Jack Daniel's, and Maker's Mark to smoky single malts including Bowmore, Laphroaig, and Ardbeg, which can also be ordered as highballs with soda water. The beer selection is equally broad, featuring Asahi Super Dry on draft alongside Heartland, Budweiser, Heineken, Corona, Guinness, and Hoegaarden.
The bar also pours staples like gin and tonic, Moscow Mule, and Spumoni, alongside wine and shochu highballs mixed with jasmine tea or corn tea—convenient choices for lighter drinking. Non-alcoholic options include sweet or dry ginger ale and several teas. Open from 20:00 until 1:30 the following morning, it works well whether dropping in solo or catching up with friends over live music.
